The Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph Date Ref. 5980/1AR-001 blends sporty refinement with precious-metal elegance through its 40.5 mm stainless steel and 18K rose gold case, iconic rounded-octagonal Nautilus bezel, and blue gradient horizontally embossed dial. The integrated two-tone bracelet enhances the unmistakable Nautilus silhouette, while the warm rose gold accents contrast beautifully against the deep blue dial for a sophisticated sport-luxury aesthetic.
The dial layout remains clean and highly legible, featuring central chronograph seconds, a combined 60-minute and 12-hour mono-counter at 6 o’clock, and a date aperture at 3 o’clock. Applied rose gold hour markers with luminescent coating and matching gold-toned hands reinforce the premium execution while maintaining excellent readability.
The architecture includes a screw-down crown, sapphire crystal front, sapphire exhibition caseback, and 120-meter water resistance, preserving the Nautilus’ balance between elegance and everyday wearability.
Powered by the in-house Patek Philippe Calibre CH 28-520 C automatic flyback chronograph movement (35 jewels, 28,800 vph / 4 Hz), it delivers hours, minutes, central seconds, date, and flyback chronograph functionality with approximately 45–55 hours of power reserve. The vertical clutch system allows the chronograph seconds hand to run continuously without excessive wear.
This two-tone Nautilus chronograph variant remains one of the most desirable modern references thanks to its combination of steel sport-watch versatility and rose gold luxury.
