The watch features a 43 mm stainless steel case paired with a black ceramic bezel secured by eight hexagonal screws, creating a striking contrast between brushed steel and high-tech ceramic.

The dial showcases the signature black “Méga Tapisserie” pattern, providing depth and strong visual identity. Applied 18K white gold hour markers and the recognizable Royal Oak hands are filled with luminescent material for optimal readability. The chronograph layout includes small seconds at 6 o’clock, a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock, and a 12-hour counter at 3 o’clock, while the date window positioned at 4:30 integrates smoothly into the design.

The robust case construction incorporates screw-locked chronograph pushers, a screw-down crown with protective guards, and glareproofed sapphire crystals on both sides, allowing a view of the movement through the exhibition caseback while ensuring 100 meters of water resistance.

At the heart of the watch is the in-house Audemars Piguet Calibre 4401, a modern integrated automatic chronograph movement composed of 381 components and 40 jewels. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), it features a column-wheel chronograph mechanism with vertical clutch, delivering smooth activation and precise timing. The movement also includes a flyback function, allowing the chronograph to be reset and restarted instantly, and provides a power reserve of approximately 70 hours.

The watch is fitted with a black rubber strap equipped with Audemars Piguet’s quick-change system, allowing easy strap swaps without tools. It is secured by a stainless steel pin buckle, and the watch is typically supplied with an additional interchangeable textile strap for further versatility.
