The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Tourbillon – Ref. 730.032F represents one of the finest expressions of traditional German haute horlogerie, combining classical Saxon design with an advanced tourbillon complication. Housed in a 39.5 mm three-part case crafted from 18-carat pink gold, the watch reflects the refined aesthetic language of the 1815 collection, inspired by the birth year of Ferdinand Adolph Lange.

The watch features a beautifully balanced argenté dial made from solid 925 silver, displaying black Arabic numerals, railway minute track, and blued steel alpha hands. At 6 o’clock, the dial opens to reveal the one-minute flying tourbillon, which incorporates A. Lange & Söhne’s patented stop-seconds mechanism. When the crown is pulled, the tourbillon cage halts instantly, enabling highly precise time setting — a rare feature among tourbillon watches. The tourbillon also integrates the zero-reset function, aligning the small seconds indicator when setting the time.

The three-part case construction includes a polished bezel, elegantly curved lugs, and sapphire crystals on both the front and the exhibition caseback. Through the display back, the meticulously finished movement is revealed, showcasing traditional Saxon finishing techniques such as the German silver three-quarter plate, gold chatons secured by blued screws, hand-engraved balance cock, and swan-neck fine adjustment.

Powering the watch is the in-house manual-winding Calibre L102.1, composed of 262 individual parts and 17 jewels. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), the movement features a Glucydur balance and provides an impressive 72-hour power reserve. Every component is finished and assembled by hand according to the brand’s rigorous standards.

Completing the watch is a brown alligator leather strap secured by an 18-carat pink gold deployant buckle, reinforcing the watch’s elegant dress-watch character.
